Over 500 Christian residents mowed down with matchetes by fulani herdsmen in Jos

Over 500 residents of Dogo Hawa village in Jos, were massacred in the early hours of Sunday morning by Fulani herdsmen .

This attack came despite the curfew by the state sequel to the mass attack that occurred few weeks ago in various crannies of Jos.

Pointblanknews.com learnt that the herdsmen who sneaked into the village during the wee hours of Sunday, shot sporadically into the air before launching the attack.

According to our source, after the sporadic shooting, the scared and curious residents ran out of their homes only to be mowed with machete wielding Fulani killers. They then went from house to house torching the homes as they rampaged.

Pointblanknews.com learnt that most of those killed were women and children.

The curious question making the rounds is, how did these killers beat the security cordon occasioned by the curfew.

Acting president, Goodluck Jonathan, has already put chiefs on red alert.

Germany arrests top Rwanda rebels

Police in Germany have arrested two Rwandan militia leaders on suspicion of crimes committed in the east of the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Ignace Murwanashyaka, the leader of the FDLR rebel group, and his aide Straton Musoni were held on suspicion of crimes against humanity and war crimes.

FDLR leaders fled to DR Congo after the Rwanda genocide in which some 800,000 people - mostly ethnic Tutsis - died.

The FDLR's presence in DR Congo has been at the heart of years of unrest.

The arrests come as UN peacekeepers continue to help the Congolese army battle the FDLR (Democratic Forces for the Liberation of Rwanda).

The operation has been underway since January but the FDLR remains active.

Nemesis, man & war crimes

So, two decades after the plunder of Ondo State, six years after capturing South-west for Obasanjo, two years after helping to foist Yar’Adua on the nation, getting rewarded handsomely with the coveted medal of CON, so the all-CONquering Bode George would end up a common convict.
According to reports, the Commodore ushered into Kirikiri Prison last Tuesday afternoon was a complete nervous wreck, unlike the bumbling fox that had sauntered into the Lagos court earlier in the morning to hear the verdict after a trial that dragged more than a year. In fact, the PUNCH quoted an eyewitness recalling that George’s feet actually wobbled as he walked away from the prison van that conveyed him to Kirikiri.

Rwandan Fugitive Is Captured in Uganda

NAIROBI, Kenya — One of the most wanted fugitives from Rwanda’s genocide, an intelligence officer accused of organizing the slaughter of civilians, including a ceremonial queen, was arrested in Uganda this week, Ugandan and Rwandan officials said Tuesday.
The fugitive, Idelphonse Nizeyimana, had been on the run for years.
He was indicted by the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda in 2000 and charged with crimes against humanity and offenses related to genocide for orchestrating massacres of civilians, including whole families. He had been an intelligence officer in the former Rwandan Army and was the second in command of an elite military school in Rwanda before the country exploded in genocide in 1994.
